shiftless bastards

Friday, September 30th 7:00pm - 10:00pm

This month we are turning 3 and celebrating the Final Friday way…

As usual meet up at the Mud Lounge back patio around 7p and bring yourself, a two wheeled human powered machine, and 5 bones if you want those coveted treasures. Be prepared to ride around because we are changing things up this year!

Are you getting excited? Have you turned into an anxious mess? Have you been bored all month waiting in anticipation for the next Final Friday? Well wait no longer, it is finally here!

It’s Final Friday and we’ve got Justice on the phone!

Bring your bike and sweat mustache to Skinny Slims Public House on February 25th, 2011 at 7pm in lovely downtown Springfield, Missouri. We’ll meet up with all of our Bastard buddies for a ride to your mothers’ house for milk and cookies.

We’d like to think you’ll find a friend, maybe a foe or playmate, a special playmate even. Won’t you join your loving Bastards for the glute massage of your life? We have no specific destination as of yet. However, the best idea wins and the prize consists of a sweaty hug from the most dastardly of Bastards. I’m excited, your mother is excited, you’d best be excited.

Come out this Friday and join the Bastards for a sweet ride to Galloway Station for some fun! It’s going to be nice so no excuses! It will be dark out so if you want to see you better not forget your lights.

Meet up at Skinny Slims at 6pm just a few doors down from the bike shop . We will leave around 6:30 and ride to galloway for some food and drinks and then back downtown.

I’ve always felt like those crown mounted bars would sheer off and result in my face contacting the headset cap rather violently. I know my fears are unfounded, but I guess that’s why I’m not a professional track racer…the only reason…

Spotted this on Prolly.

Big ups!

Why?

The Shiftless Bastards are dedicated to single speed and fixed gear advocacy. We believe that our society and culture are bettered by cycling and through rides, fun and games for all levels of cyclists on gear-less bikes we can help change the path of an overly car dependent culture with a focus on simple to ride, simple to maintain transportation.

Final Friday, along with putting people on bikes to play games is dedicated to bringing a public outdoor velodrome to Springfield, Missouri. The effort and funding required to pull off this endeavor is massive. Your participation in Final Friday helps make that goal possible, so get on your bike and let's do this!

How can I help?

Come to Final Friday and play. Buy some Shiftless Bastards shirts, hats or stickers at the event. Your purchases and participation will help build a velodrome in Springfield, Missouri.

We rely on the support of the organizations and companies listed above to make the prizes, venues, shirts, flyers and beers happen. So if you don't mind, give them some business and say thanks for helping to make this all possible!

Got something to add?

Drop us a line if you have any questions, comments or would like to be notified of weekly rides, games and beer drinking.

Every month we let a different artist/designer have a crack at the flyers, promos and shirts. Shoot us an email with a link to your portfolio if you wanna get some free press and design us a flyer. We'll buy ya a beer.
